Ansley was first introduced to alternative medical systems as a part of her Anishinaabe background with the study of traditional herbal medicine. After becoming overwhelmed with her own struggles undergoing conventional treatments for asthma and environmental allergies, she immersed herself in the study of homeopathy in conjunction with homeopathic treatment. After only a short while, she found her health had greatly improved, allowing her freedom from conventional medicine and the allopathic medical system.

Ansley began her studies in Classical Homeopathy, and studied under Rudolph Verspoor and Patty Smith. She graduated as a Practitioner of Homeopathy and became a registered Homeopath with NUPATH, the national professional association. After graduating, she became aware that homeopathy was only one small section of a complete system of medicine that Dr. Hahnemann called Heilkunst. She then decided to continue her studies with the Hahnemann College for Heilkunst, completing the 3-year Diploma in Heilkunst and Homeopathy at a Practitioner level (DHHP). She is now in the process of completing her post-graduate diploma with the HCH.

Outside of her busy practice in Toronto Ontario, Ansley is proud to be the Volunteer Heilkunstler for the women of George Herman House, a programming and supportive housing centre in Toronto for women coping with mental illness. Before her move to Toronto in 2001, she helped to found the Apple Hill Wholistic Centre in Ottawa.

Her interests include the treatment of mental illness and depression with Heilkunst, and she tutors many passionate students in the study of Heilkunst. She also enjoys music, art and the outdoors.
