Debra Sherry DHHP, DynBC I became interested in alternative health and medicine about 15 years ago, when I decided to take responsibility for my own health, getting it out of the hands of the allopathic doctors. After experimenting with aromatherapy, vitamins and supplements, herbs, acupuncture, chiropractic, and many other alternative healing modalities, I found that none were able to elicit a cure for my long list of chronic ailments, although most helped temporarily. Finally, many years later I decided to start a program of formal studies. This is when I found homeopathy, and a practicioner who had studied with Rudi and Patty (deans of the HCH). I knew as soon as I heard about the HCH and what they teach that this was what I had been looking for. As a requirement of the college, I underwent treatment and as a result found much more than I had expected. Not only did it prove to be the key to physical health and true cure, I became much healthier on all levels - mind, body and spirit. This educational path led to meaning in my life, a new lifestyle, a new career, a new "me," and I continue to strive towards deeper and deeper levels of health. I graduated from the Hahnemann College for Heilkunst with a practicioner diploma in Homeopathy and Heilkunst, and a certificate in Dynamic Live Blood Analysis, in July 2004. Soon afterwards, I moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico (from Texas) to start a formal practice with Lauren Lawson under the name of High Desert Homeopathy. I'm very excited about the challenges and opportunites for continued growth and learning that my patients will bring me, and about the health I know that many patients will find through this wonderful art of medicine.
